how to fancy up your lure with a skirted treble

1.       It is best to use an old lure or buy a treble hook for your first attempt. If you are using an old lure remove the hook from the split ring.

2.       Wrap a layer of thread down the shaft of your hook.
3.       Decide what colour and size skirting you want, normally it’s the length of the hook plus three centimetres but this will depend on your lure and your personal choice. For this lure I am using white skirting material and gold flash line (shimmers in the water).

4.       Use some epoxy and apply some of the skirting material then wrap thread around it tightly to lock it on.
5.       Do the same with the flash but don’t use as much.

6.       Let the hook rest then attach it to the lure later on.

I hope this helps you guys reel in a big one, happy fishing...
